Not all dogs chase cats, but there are several reasons why a dog would chase a cat. Cats that are let outside usually roam, as they have quite large territories. Dogs, that perceive the house they live in as their territory, might chase off a cat if the dog feels like its territory is being threatened.
Some dogs have a higher "chase" drive than others, and will just chase animals smaller than themselves for no other reason than to chase it. These reasons do not mean that dogs hate cats. Dogs and cats living in the same household are often very friendly towards each other.
Dogs chasing cats is a stereotype but they will chase cats and other things if they are excited
Because in a dogs eyes, a cat is prey. But not all the time does that happen. Some dogs befriend cats, and they become buds!
actually some cats do, it depends on if you have trained them to do it. the cats that don't come either have not beed traind to come on call, or they are just to idapendant. (cats are a verry independent race, that is why they often wander off to be by themselfs.)
Well, yes i had many cats and usually they run away if u come closer to them.

CatIt depends on what breed of dog, but most cats run faster. The average speed for a dog is 19mph, with dogs in the Greyhound family reaching 40 - 45mph. Most cats can reach 30mph while running.A cat is fasterA dog should run faster but it depends on what breedDepends on the breed and size of the dog and of the cat. Normally, dogs run faster, but the cats can easily climb a tree, wall, and escape. For short distance, cats are faster than dogs. Most dogs can outrun a cat but cats are more agile and can usually get away.
Sometimes yes because of his or her instinct they run away or hide so they don't get eaten.
It could very well run away.

Both. Depending on the dog and cat, dogs can chase cats, but some feisty or territorial cats are more than capable in chasing away a dog.
dogs cats i guess
it depends on the dog
Dogs will chase things that run, that is instinct.
this is a good answer above
Cats have a tendency to be afraid of dogs, they are normally larger in size and could be a threat to them. Some cats run away. Dogs have a tendency to chase small animals as it is likely to be something they could catch and eat. Also, cats are not social animals. When they see another animal they tend to react agressively unless they are familiar or are a possible mate.
yea but a man comes and revives them and if u dont take enough care for ur dogs/cats they run away:)
Nt totally. They will run away for a little while to mate, but they will not run away to have kittens. Often times the male will come back for the female if she is pregnant. I know because it has happend to me with my female cat.
