This is a sign of dominance. I experienced this with my spayed female, which was humping a neutered cat! She's also tried this with my other dog. This is a potentially serious problem, but it can be resolved if you don't let it go too far. Don't worry, your dog doesn't have any big issues, just get some advice for correcting! Also, this has nothing to do with breed-type. A pomeranian is just as likely to hump as a dachshund.
Do you mean Dachshunds?Dachshunds came from Germany.
There are a number of possible reasons as to why a male dog may not hump anything. The usual reason is because the dog has been neutered and no longer has the desire.
It depends on the type of dog. It's not a big deal if your dog can at 4 months old.
I have a male that does it to everything. Not something we particularly like to see, but it is normal.
He wants to hump her

Dachshunds are adorable. Long skinny short hot dog dogs :)
They eat dog food like any other dog.
the dog group, of course!
Dachshunds!
ONE of the most stubborn dog breeds are the dachshunds.
Dachshunds were originally from Germany. The name means 'Badger Dog' i.e. a dog that could hunt out badgers in the narrow spaces of an underground badger sett (hence the short legs).
Dachshunds don't need to be washed all that often. but i would go to the pet store and buy dog shampoo
A dachshund can be used as a service dog, only it may be difficult to train it because dachshunds are very stubborn.
Labs , golden retreivers, and dachshunds
Dachshunds have a wide variety of colors & patterns.
Dachshunds are one of the longest lived breeds of dog in the World. The World's oldest living dog is a 22 year old Dachshund. Standard Dachshunds should live for over 10 years, and Miniatures should live over 15 years.
