Why do people kill Crocodile?

Simply because they see people as 'food' or a threat ! The human race continues its unabated march across this planet with scant regard for other animal species - often destroying the natural habitat of creatures in favour of their own existence !

The crocodile's natural habitat is disappearing in favour of human 'recreational pursuits' bringing them into closer contact - resulting in people getting attacked !

Crocodiles, especially the large species, are very aggressive. Humans are definitely part of a crocodiles food chain. I read somewhere that 2500 people per year were killed in Africa in crocodile attacks. Being taken by a crocodile must be a horrible experience and an equally horrible death. People who have suffered personal loss because of crocodile attacks may have ill feelings towards the animal and others equally, and rightly, fear the animal. That's probably why some folks want to simply exterminate the species. Personally I don't think any species should be exterminated because nature has a need for them all but I do have to question the universal over protection of crocodiles. Africa alone has nearly 500,000 crocodiles. The numbers around the world must total around one million. I think, in countries with laws, the species could tolerate being hunted. Particularly in Australia. Africa is generally lawless and there probably being hunted their anyway. But why the universal hands off policy? The crocodile species seems to be thriving and controlled, legal hunts, would benefit both tourism and control the population a bit. Well that goes beyond the original question. People want to exterminate anything that they fear. We all fear, and rightly so, Crocodiles. Good Day.

Yes crocodiles do bite people why? Some people temp the animals to attack or get to close to them. Some may attack out of defense and some may just be hungry.

Because people use them to make purse's, boots, etc. I think its wrong so i don't bye stuff that is made by animal skin and fur.
