Any dog or wolf hybrid will attack their owner if they are mistreated or weren't socialised properly as pups. Optimal windows for socialisation are different in wolves than in dogs though, and depending on the percentage of wolf the hybrid is, it could behave in ways with their owners that are undog-like.

Pitbulls are actually the 2nd nicest breed next to Labrador Retreiver. They nice dogs if raised right. I don't know much about Chow Mix's but i know a few and their great dogs.
