To rest the other leg.
Any bird will stand on one leg when resting or sleeping.
There are very few animals that have only one leg, as the majority require at least two legs to move efficiently and maintain balance. An example of a one-legged animal is the flamingo, which can stand and walk on a single leg for extended periods of time due to its specialized anatomy and adaptations.
The only animal that can stand on its head is the flamingo. Their long legs and flexible neck allow them to balance and stand on one leg while tucking their head underneath their body.
It is to contain heat that would normally be lost through the uninsulated featherless limb. Some egrets and herons cast their shadow while standing on one leg to look like a tree shadow to attract fish.

A Flamingo stands on one leg
first get on it. then stand. and push with one leg and balance with the other.
they stand on one leg
No one is really sure why flamingos stand on one leg. Scientist aren't even sure why flamingos stand on one leg. But one thing that has been proposed is that flamingos stand on one leg to relieve the pressure off the one side and res that side while the other side functions and controls the body. Then when that side has rested then they will alternate legs and do the same thing until they are fully rested and ready to go on about their business.

yes, that is not unusual
resting on only one leg is a sign they are comfortable. however, if they favor one leg over the other that could be a sign of a health problem.
to pull a scale you stand on one leg (normally you stand on your right leg) then you grab the right side of your left ankle and pull it up.
the same reson we stand on two feet; It's more comfortable this way.
put one leg in front and the other in the back
pulling one's leg (teasing or joking aroundget a leg up on (getting a head start)don't have a leg to stand on (a weak argument)
