I believe it would be great to be able to run across open prairie and have no fence to stop you. I also think the life of a wild horse can be very hard, like avoiding predators and round ups, but nice to be in the company of others the whole time. no one really knows for sure.
wild horses don't take care of their hooves-wild horses tend to have naturally harder and tougher hooves, therefore they don't need shoes or anything. :)
Wild horses do not run on lush green pastures as many people believe. Alot of mustangs run on rocky lava rock ground that can be used as a rasp. Horses hooves (not just wild horses, domestic too-they havent changed all that much from wild horses really) they will grow to be as hard as the surface they live on. So, as they move around on the rocky ground, it gradually rasps it away as they grow, so they do not need a farrier. Also, another thing they do to prevent their hooves from being dried out is soak them daily in water. When they go to get a drink of water their hooves get hydrated so they never get dried up.
Wild horses don't need shoes because their hooves are tough and strong. Able to crush rock and other hard things without harming the horse. Most modern domesticated horses do not need shoes either, but people typically shoe them anyways.
Horses in the wild travel a lot, so their hooves tend to naturally get worn down by the gravel and rocks and such they travel over. However, some wild horses can get bad and over-grown hooves, which can be detrimental to their lives since a lame horse is a dead horse--wolves and cougars will come a-callin' to make them into a meal.
Wild horses (called Mustangs) wear down their hooves from walking around on rocks and other hard objects.
By mustangs I assume you mean wild horses. No, only domesticated horses SOMETIMES wear horse shoes; it is not a requirement that they wear shoes. Two of my horses do not wear shoes and the other one only wears them on his front feet for orthopedic reasons.
Wild horses are omnivorous because all horses eat plants or grains. In the wild, they sometimes cannot find the plants they need to survive and then go after meat. They may sometimes go after their own in the herd, but they only do so unless they are in desperate need of food and energy.
Horse shoes protect horse's feet. They are also used to help heal injuries and hoof damage. Some shoes support the hoof in ways that are therapeutic for the horse. Not all horses require shoes.
a farrier or blacksmith shoes horses. a veterinarian may also be trained to do it.
Probably the Spaniards captured wild horses. Probably the Spaniards captured wild horses.
wild horses are shy animals and need to be approached with caution.
Yes, horses do grow out of their shoes. Their shoes can also become worn and need replacing because of that.

Wild horses are herd animals and need to be around other horses. Wild and tame horses both like and LOVE to be around other horses, but that depends on their social skills.
maybe
Horses living in the wild have their own ways to get what they need. Such as they have been observed eating a certain type of clay which rids them of internal parasites. Domestic horses eat differently then their wild cousins. Their teeth aren't worn off like wild horses so they need the help of a vet.
Not all horses are born wild. Domestic horses when born are not really wild, they are just young and need education. There is a big difference between a wild horse and a domestic, green horse.
In domestication horses need their hooves trimmed to keep them a proper shape to avoid lameness. In the wild horses 'trim' their own hooves by walking on rough ground which wears them down.
Most horses need shoeing, which protects the walls of their hooves and their toes. Depending on the work the horse does, the shoes can protect the muscles, bones and tendons of the legs from injury. Improper shoeing or remaining unshod when shoes are needed can make your horse permanently lame. Note: Not all horses need them my five horses do not need shoes. Horses usually only need shoes if they have a club foot, navicular, sensitive feet, for jumping, or any long tough work.

Farriers are the people who shoe horses.
horses that aren't tame are called wild horses. The difference between wild horses and tame horses is that tame horses are a lot calmer for one. They let you ride them and are used to life in a stable. Wild horses, however, would throw you off if you tried to ride them. That is, if you can even get near them!
