all mammals are warm blooded so elephants are warm blooded.
Before Odysseus leaves his ship with his men to explore the island he takes with him some wine and food. The wine was given to Odysseus by Maron, son of Euanthes and priest of Apollo, after Odysseus protected him and his child. Odysseus gives this wine to the Cyclops, and after the cyclops has drunk too much Odysseus addresses him and tells him his name is nobody. When the cyclops is sleeping Odysseus takes a sharpened stick and stabs the Cyclops in the eye, when the cyclops cries out in pain and calls for his brothers to help they ask who is hurting him and he says nobody, so his brothers think he is playing a trick on them and dont help. The best part that i think is, is when Odysseus and his crew escapes from the cave!
When odysseus gives the cyclops wine to get him drunk and then tells him his name is nobody. Then odysseus stabs him in the eye and when Odysseus calls out to his brothers he says : " Help me help me Nobody has hurt me, Nobody has tricked me". His brothers think that nobody really is hurting him.

I thought this was a stupid decision. Odysseus knew what the cyclops could do to him. He also knew that he had really ticked off the cyclops. By taunting him from his ship, he just made him more upset and almost killed his crew, as well as himself. Also by doing this, he got himself cursed by Posiden. I hope this helped!
2 versions: Either, 1.) He did not think the Cyclops would try to eat him, and instead actually help him 2.) He did not know the cave belonged to a cyclops
Odysseus gives Polyphemus a fake name, "Nobody," so that when he blinds Polyphemus and calls for help, the other Cyclopes would think that "Nobody" harmed him and wouldn't come to his aid. This clever deception allows Odysseus and his men to escape from the Cyclops' cave.
He and his men stabbed the cyclops in the eye and crawled out covered in sheep hydes so the cyclops would think they were just his livestock and not kill them.
I think I remember Odysseus poked the Cyclops in the eye to make him blind for a moment and then he and his men crawled on the floor that had sheep in it and made sheep noises so the Cyclops wouldn't notice them with his bad vision. I don't really remember for sure. . .
It enables Odysseus and his men to escape the Cyclops's cave and it confuses the other Cyclopses so they don't come to the aid of their friend.
I don't think he did i wouldn't say it was the worst but not sure
Some versions say Odysseus didn't tell the cyclops his name, here is one version.Odysseus told the cyclops his name was Nobody. He told this to the cyclops named Polyphemus as part of his plan to kill the cyclops who was holding him in the cave, his men. Then, on the morning when Odysseus attacked Polyphemus in his single eye, the cyclops gave a great painful bellow which woke up the neighboring cyclops. They raced to the cave and yelled to Polyphemus "Why did you wake us up so early? How is hurting you?", to which Polyphemus answered "It's Nobody! Nobody is hurting me!"The other cyclops answered "Well, if nobody is you, then why did you wake us up at this ungodly hour? You should pray to Poseidon, go to sleep, and let the rest of us sleep."Odysseus was able to kill the cyclops Polyphemus without interference from the other cyclops living nearby due to his trickery of telling the cyclops his name was Nobody. Most versions say however, that Odysseus told Polyphemus his name was nobody, so that when Polyphemus cried out for help, while Odysseus was shoving a stake into his eye, his fellow cyclopes would think that no one was attacking him. But then once Odysseus had escaped Polyphemus and got onto his boat, he cried out 'My name is Odysseus. The great Odysseus has blinded you.' Odysseus probably said this because he was a bit cocky from his victory and he just wanted the cyclops to know who had defeated him. Polyphemus then asked his father Poseidon to curse Odysseus, which Poseidon did do, not allowing Odysseus to reach Ithaca for 10 years.
