Just like the largest telescope, the bigger the lens, the higher definition of the picture. An owl has excellent night vision and regular vision as well. This is due to the size of its eyes and the ability to focus on small items at long distances. Its iris' are like a cats, or a venomous snake and are eliptical in shape. This adds to its visual accuity.
