Yes they do, matter of fact.I think it depends on the species. I have White-footed Ants (Technomyrmex albipes) that come to live in my kitchen every winter and they, unlike the Argentine Ant, certainly appear to enter a dormant state very like sleep. In the morning one finds little groups of them on the countertop or, more often, under the breadboard or a plate, or in the waterjug (they have a great affinity for water) -- all still and apparently sleeping. One has to nudge them or tap sharply near them before they all come to life and run around in a bit of a panic. So yes, I would say that some ants sleep.
It matter what kind of ants like red ants OUCH! But black ants dont bite
Ants actually never sleep. They work all the time when they are in the wild. If they are in an Ant Farm then sometimes they may rest a little bit.

Yes, black ants do sleep, although they have a different sleep pattern compared to mammals. Ants have periods of rest where they are less active and have been observed to have sleep-like behavior, such as staying still for long periods. This resting period allows ants to conserve energy and replenish their resources for their busy workdays.
