Perhaps their easy-going temperament was what made them ideal for early farmers to domesticate them. Though many other animals in the world give good meat, milk, and hide, the bovine was chosen over others perhaps because of both temperament and ability to learn that humans are beings that give them good food to eat.

Not only do cows provide us with meat and milk products they also have many other uses. We are able to utilize parts for pharmacuetical needs, their hides for leather (used for clothing), their hair for uses in paint brushes, insulation, padding in upholstery etc...

It is what feeds America and all the other countries in the world. The U.S brings in most of its revenue from agriculture. Without the cattle industry everybody in the world would literally starve.
