I had a baby chick that rarely ever opened it eyes because it was very sick. I took it in and fed it and gave it water out of a dropper. It later died. If your chick is not opening its eyes it may be sick

∙ 13y agoSome chicks never make noise. If the chick is active but just not chirping you should not worry. If the chick seems listless, withdrawn and not interacting with the others then it is likely sick. Adding a water soluble tonic to the broods water dish should help perk them all up and help them ward off any possible illness.
