Why must animal extinction be prevented?

when a predator feed on its prey, that will show how balance our ecosystem is. however, when we (human) hunt them (predators) down for fur trade, meat n so forth, we are actually leading them to extinction, besides what nature has already do. then, after the total disappearance (extinction) of carnivores, we will leave the world with the herbivores which use to b prey. Now, prey (herbivores) will start breeding n feed totally on plants which later will lessen our flora. it is such that extinction will never happen to us. in a nut shell, we are actually dependent on one another to survive, n w/out plants, we can breath, no shelter, n pollution wil b from bad to worse. this in turn will put our species (human) to EXTINCTION

reason 1) let's say when your grandchildren ask you what a seal is...or that they want to see one live...hmm...can't because they're extinct. reason 2) as with any specific species, everything has its effects. if a species were to die off that would effect the food pyramid somehow, and then that in turn would cause more extinctions due to not having needed prey. Then to go further...we would die because we had nothing to eat. ah.
