Why pig is known as dirty animal?

Surprisingly, pigs aren't that dirty. They don't usually roll in mud like some say. They are a lot like dogs. they like to stay clean, and root around. So pretty much, they dirtiest part on a pig would probably be his nose. Pigs are only animals, i think they will eat what they are given and stay where they are reared. Humans are dirty.....if pigs are given good food instead of left-overs and reared in clean places, they will never be called "DIRTY". MR. boobs

They are actually really clean. They use the mud as a sort of sunscreen so they don't get burnt. You can actually find pigs who are afraid of mud. Like when i was watching animal planet this little pig wouldn't go in the mud without rubber boots on all it's feet. Now it goes in with just two but they're hoping it uses none at some point.
