dont know exactly where, when, or why it happened but from what i heard from a friend, and he is from indang, cavite, that tagaytay came from the root words 'taga' and 'tatay'. as the story goes, a father and his son is having a drinking spree, when in some reason the son got mad to his father prompting him to get a bolo and went after his father, "hinabol ng taga ang tatay", thus the name "tagaytay"
