Your dog wont leave your cat alone, because in your dogs eyes, anything smaller is prey.
In the wild, the dogs just go for it and attack it.
Luckily our pets don't do that, but they still chase. Most likely want to play, and everyone knows that cats can't handle big or over hyped up dogs.
If it was trained as a pup not to chase anything, then you'd have a happy cat not being chased down. If not, then you're going to have to train him yourself.
Possibly have him on a lead, and let the cat walk by, if your dog does not move, then give him/her a cookie.
Do it again, if your dog pays no attention or what so ever, then that's great, give him/her a cookie.
You will have to do this exercise for as long as he/she goes on command to leave your cat alone.
I hope this was good advice.
The cat will eat the hamster and the cat and dog will get in a fight that will end badly
You spay a female dog and cat, you neuter a male dog and cat.
Get them when they are tiny. they will make friends, so then they will be friends all their life. Its like there is 2 kittens or 2 puppies! It's advisable to get the kitten first; because it's smaller and less powerful than the puppy, it's good to let it claim its territory - your house - before the pup arrives; this will allow the cat to feel more confident around the dog.
If the cat has lived in one place mainly her whole life and the dog is new it might take a while for the cat to get used to the dog But most likely the cat will ignore the dog if the dog wont bother her That's what it was like for my 6yr old cat and our stray dog
A dog and a cat. Let the dog chase the cat, if the cat gets caught, the dog is faster ;^)
If your male dog is not already neutered, neuter him.

she probably feels that you make her safe and that your gonnan help her take care of her pups.
A cat would arc its back to make itself look bigger and more threathening. It can also growl or hiss to verbally try and make the dog leave her alone
Basically leave them to sort it out unless the dog is large enough to eat the cat.
