Snakes are reptiles and cold blooded. They rely on the Sun to heat their bodies up.Rocks absorb heat and so make a perfect warm place to heat up.The warmer a reptile gets the more active it becomesenabling it to search for food.
a clean tank and a heat lamp or a heat rock but place it one side of the tank because it it gets to hot the snake can move to the other side if it gets to hot if its small you can feed it gold fish or pinkys which is new born mice also when a snake shed its skin the eye may change color and he wont eat when this happens and you don't have to feed the snake every day once a week is fine
How about a quick hiss
The sidewinder snake protects itself from heat by burrowing into the sand to find cooler temperatures and avoid direct sunlight. This behavior helps regulate its body temperature and prevent overheating in hot desert environments. Additionally, the snake may be active during cooler times of the day to minimize exposure to extreme heat.
According to Eric "Greasy Fingas" Morrow the girl sitting two seats down...Amanda....got hot over the summer.....
no, mine loves sitting in front of the fan, any setting.
Not much. I would be more concerned with the total environment for the snake. I hope you have an aquarium, hot rock, a artificial cave, and a water dish. I would go to the pet shop get a bag of sand (no sand from a place you find. It needs to be clean), cover the aquarium bottom with it. Place a hot rock in to keep the right temperature within the aquarium and a dish for water. Snakes like places to hide so give your corn snake a place.
any snakes' weakness is that it's body temperature is the same as that of the ambient temperature. In other words, the temp of a snake on a hot rock would reach the same temp of the rock itself
That would all depend on what type of rock.
Becuase you are warming your seamen when sitting in a hot bath. But if you would like me to try your seamen I will.
would be hot and no water mi is soo hot and tanned and i am starving and lost in the dessert with my pet snake sammy, FML
When using a snake heat rock, it is important to take precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of the reptile. Make sure to monitor the temperature of the heat rock regularly to prevent it from getting too hot and potentially burning the snake. Additionally, provide a temperature gradient in the enclosure so the snake can regulate its body temperature effectively. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions and guidelines for using the heat rock properly.
It depends how long for, but I would say no.
They were sitting in a hot tub
No.
The best that I have got a snake would have to be red hot reptiles I first got my python from them it was cb 10 2 year's later and I now have 8 snakes from the red hot reptile's team 2pythons 3king snakes 2corn snakes and 1rat snake. They are online, twitter and blackberry
OMJ YES!!!!!!!=They ARE HOT!!!!!!!!!! And They DO Rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!=
When a hot rock is put into cold water, thermal shock occurs. The rapid change in temperature causes the rock to expand and contract quickly, leading to stress within the rock. This stress can cause the rock to crack or even shatter due to the differential in temperature between the hot rock and cold water.
