She may not think the pup is up to par, so she may be trying to remove it from the litter. This does not make her a bad mom, this is just a natural thing to do in the animal world. If it keeps up, you may have to separate and bottle feed it.
Sometimes a mother dog will indeed try to hide one of her puppies, the only reasonable explaination i can give about this is that the mother dog is trying to hide the puppybecause it is "sick" or to "weak" to play or be with the other puppies. Another reason would be because the mother of the puppy cant handle it, in other words she can not take care of the whole litter so she tries to hide the one she cant take care of!
Because animals are very prtective of their young. It is like an adult telling their child not to talk to strangers.
Yes, they will take care of their puppies on there own. If you take care of one of their puppies it will be like if you raised them yourself and the mom will think the puppies are nothing she will proabbly not want them anymore
I'm pretty sure that her milk would be safe... I think if they come from the same family, it's fine.
There are many places where one could find Scottie puppies for sale. The best places where one could find Scottie puppies would be places like dog shelters or dog breeders.
I Bought 2 puppies From Down Home Dachshunds. My dad also bought one for my mom. We love our babies and would not trade them for the world. They were obviously raised with much love.
1-23 puppies in one litter, but smaller dogs tend to have less puppies in one litter.
Our chihuahua tried to eat one of her puppies. We had to put it with another mom that just had puppies.

Sure that would be a great idea
NO! I have one and it would never kill one of its puppies! it is very protective of one it considers in its closest circle (OWNERS, AND ESPECIALLY PUPPIES).
the mom get pretective if the puppies are new born the puppies MUST be with there mother for 8 weeks after they can be taken home to some one. if after the puppie is taken to there new home and it misses there mom or the people around it dont worry it will eventually forget and love its new home do not let the father or any other animal around the mom and the puppie because the mom is so pertective and will snap not at the people though

the chances are very common because most puppies will get traits from their mom or dad so most likely the puppies will get it but there is a very scarce chance they will not HOPE THIS HELPS
Why do you want your dog to have puppies? If you want a puppy, it will more responsible to buy a puppy, or rescue one from the shelter. Letting your dog have puppies is risky in terms of her health, is stressful and requires a lot of time and money on your (or your mom's) part. Raising puppies is costly and often need a lot of attention and care to raise properly, so it is best to leave it to experienced breeders.
If i were you i would hide it up a tree or under a tree but if you already tried that then i would hide it somewhere people would never expect it to be.
