It depends on the cat. If the cat's very young and used to being on its own, then it could be a maybe, if the cat's very old, the cat could stay away.
On the other hand, yes, it is in the cat's nature to kill the guinea pig. It does not matter what cat it is, they will think its a mouse and will want to play and will get rough and will kill it.
