You never know what movie makers are thinking. Even though I wasn't alive when the films came out, I think it was partially successful. They made a TV. series and a Christmas movie off of it. I also thought the way All dogs go to heaven had a moving ending, while the second didn't. I think there were too many angels and people in the second, making it sort of cheesy. I did have an idea for an All dogs go to heaven 3. I tried emailing MGM about it but haven't heard back yet.
All dogs go to heaven is my favorite movie off all time! I really hope they make a 3rd!

Can pets go to heaven?
There is no general consensus among Christians regarding whether or not, animals go to heaven. Many Christians do not believe that pets, or animals in general, have souls. Therefore, they cannot go to heaven because they would not experience an afterlife without a soul. However, others contend that they do have souls or that, even if they did not possess a soul per se, God may grant them some sort of 'natural' immortality which they will enjoy on a new earth. God does however want us to be happy, so in heaven some people may not be happy without their long time companion, so I believe that God does allow pets to go to heaven. Yes, its called crossing the Rainbow Bridge. Yes all dogs do go to heaven. Same with all cows, goats, mice, people, all of Gods creatures go to heaven. The Bible teaches Ecclesiastes 3:19, 20 " For there is an outcome for humans and an outcome for animals; they all have the same outcome. As the one dies, so the other dies...So man has no superiority over animals, for everything is futile. All are going to the same place. They all come from the dust and they are all returning to the dust." The 4/22/04 Awake on Jehovah's Witnesses official website had this to say: It is good to remember, though that the Bible emphasizes the distinction between humans and animals. Humans not animals were made in the likeness of God. (Genesis 1:26) Animals were created with a limited lifespan, humans had the prospect of living on earth forever. ( Genesis 3:22,23; Psalms 37:29) Animals were not created in God's image, nor were they meant to live forever, as were humans. Regarding the way God made humans, the Bible says : " He has put eternity into their hearts (mind)." Yet mothing like this is said of animals.
