Will my guinea pig's broken arm kill him?

No.....your guinea pig's broken arm will not kill him. I am the owner of 2 guinea pigs and My guinea pig broke his arm just recently actually. He is not showing any sign of death or anything of that sort. For example: If a boy breaks his arm.....will he die...no....so its the same with guinea pigs. Just let your guinea pig be for a few days and then maybe take hime to a good vet who can cure the problem and within days your guinea pigs will slowly heal.

What do guinea pigs do when they have broken leg legs?

Make an appontment with your vet straight away to get checked out. Note: Try to make the appointmen on the same day, I.E straight away. Hope that helps! x Brought my guinea pig to vet, he made the poor fella way worse, if he had'nt got a broken leg when i went in, it was in bits by the time the vet had finished, he could'nt do anything for him, but applied so much pressure to the leg, that the whole leg was hanging when he finished, his foot was only slightly turned outwards when I brought him in! My advice is STAY AWAY FROM VETS

Can you heal a guinea pig alone?

I would not recommend you to heal a guinea pig at home. You should bring your guinea pig to a local animal hospital. Healing a guinea pig alone can cause germs going into the guinea pig. That can be harmful for your pet.

How long does it take for a budgies broken leg to heal?

it depends on how bad of a break it is, and if the wing needs to be "set" if the break is too bad, it may never heal properly, even if seen by a vet.

What do you do if you cut the vein in your guinea pigs paw?

The vein that courses through the guinea pigs paw, is not a main artery in the body, so it will not bleed out. However if you do happen to cut it, it will bleed. The best thing to do is to clean it with a cotton bud/wool ball, and leave it to heal(:

How long should you wait after a dog splint to take to vet?

If the dog's leg is actually broken, then there should be a cast on the leg instead of a splint. A broken bone on a dog can take as long to heal as a broken bone on a person, which is approximately six weeks. If you believe you dog's leg is broken, but haven't yet taken the dog to the vet, please do so immediately; a splint is simply not adequate to help the bone mend. If your dog already has a splint, then wait for the vet to remove it.
