05 Chevy avalanche sensor 2 bank 2 located?
driver side after catalytic convertor
Driver side.
Bank 1 = driver's side Bank 2 = passenger side Sensor 1 = front (ahead of cat unit) Sensor 2 = rear (after cat unit) chevy avalanche has two catalytic units, one below each exhaust manifold on the exhaust "Y" pipe. there is an oxygen sensor before and after each catalytic unit. Typically replace sensors in pairs (before and after sensors on one bank). Always check your engine codes and look up the description of the code as it will tell you specifically which sensors and what failure is taking place.
Bank 1 on a Chevy is the drivers side. Sensor 1 is located in front of the catalytic convertor and sensor 2 is after the converter. Each side has 2 O2 sensors.
That should be the sensor located after the catalytic converter.
Bank 2 is on the passenger side on a Chevy V6 or V8.
That should be the sensor located after the cat converter.
where is the oxygen sensor in a 1995 gmc jimmy
If I am correct, bank 2 sensor 2 is opposite the #1 cylinder in the rear.
The one after the catalytic converter.
It's the sensor after the cat on the passenger side
On GM, bank one is drivers side of engine, bank 2 is passengers side. Sensor(s) 1 is the upstream sensor, meaning BEFORE catalytic converter. Sensor(s) 2 are located downstream, or AFTER the catalytic converter, therefore, bank 2, sensor 2 is located in the exhaust pipe leading from the passenger side of engine and after the catalytic converter.
