10:23 a.m. The military time system counts all 24 hours of the day, so there is no 'a.m.' or 'p.m.' Instead, you continue after 12:00 p.m. all the way back to midnight, which is '0000' in military time. For example, 1:30 p.m. is 1330 and 2:45 p.m. is 1445. 1:30 a.m. is 0130, and 2:45 a.m. is 0245. If you need to convert civilian to military time, add 12 hours if you are past noon. Converting to civilian, subtract 12 if after noon.
