1987 S-10 blazer 4x4 auto tranny-no power going down road-wont pull boat uphill-motor running great-feels like something holding truck back-wont shift down on incline-Dist advance seems to be ok-ideas?

If you have not already changed your transmission filter/fluid do so now; it sounds like the filter is plugging up . I would also consider having the trans flushed. This will cause the problems you are writing about.

Sounds like tis stuck in 2nd gear try checking the vacum going to the transmissiom should be a line or hose
