1995 Jetta 4-cylinder-RPMs suddenly drop then very little power from the gas pedalfeels like the engine is going to die.other times runs normal. Anyone?

I have same car, same engine and had the same problem. There was a break in a line which made the engine loose pressure. I don't know all of the technical stuff off the top of my head. fortunately the hose was cheap to replace. i remember spending about $40 for the whole thing. good luck, ill check details and get back.
