nucleoid region, for those who happen to say nucleus, bacteria cells don't have a nucleus so this is in fact impossible.

The nucleus of a cell holds on the DNA and "information" of a cell. The DNA is attached to chromosomes in which are found in the nucleus, at least with eukaryote cells.
