A mother continuously violates court orders by failing to obey the visitation order and refusing to allow the father to see the children. What can the father do?

The court can change the custody order and take primary custody away from the mother. The father should stay on top of the situation by filing a motion for contempt of a court order (visitation) and every time she violates the visitation order he should keep filing motions for contempt. She may eventually lose custody. The court can change the custody order and take primary custody away from the mother. Are you in Contempt if you do not drop your son off to his father's girlfriend if he is not home?

I'm going to take a general shot at this. I would have to say No you are not in contempt in this case. Reason being is that his girlfriend probably does not have legal custody of your son and therefore is not legally binded to that child. So if he is not home, you legally should NOT have to leave your child with his girlfriend unless stated in writing from the courts. You both have legal custody of your son. Check with a lawyer or your local laws regarding this further.

The mother has already been found in contempt of a court order and now she is refusing to let the child visit. What should you do?

You should return to court ASAP and file another motion for contempt. If the mother continues to defy court orders she can lose custody. Although it makes a seriously difficult situation for you, you must let the courts handle it. You should not ignore her actions. You should return to court ASAP and file another motion for contempt. If someone is already in contempt of court for interfering with visitation and still interfers with visitation to the other party before the hearing or disobeys what happens to them?

The moment they were held in contempt, your attorney should have handed the judge a change of custody order. Contempt of court is considered a change of circumstance. see links below

Can a parent who owes back child support be held in contempt of court?

The court would be unlikely to reward the non-support of a child by taking custody from the custodial parent and granting custody to the delinquent parent. There must be a compelling reason for the court to make such a drastic change in the child's living arrangement. You should consult with an attorney who can review your situation and explain your options.
