No one knows the actual age of the earth from its organization to the present day. Though carbon dating has been used to determine roughly the earths age, one must remember that the particles of matter which go to make up the earth are much older than the actual earth itself when it was formed. As an example, a potter will make a bowl out of clay in say 2011, but the material he uses to make the bowl is very much older and may date back thousands of years.
It would be very surprising if science supports a young earth, but if science really did support this I would advocate acceptance of the evidence. However, the scientific evidence is that the world is approximately 4.54 billion years old. That is young compared to the age of the universe, but old compared to some religious views. There are, of course, those who would like science to support a young earth. Phillip E. Johnson, was a professor of law, and therefore unlikely to have had a strong understanding of the earth sciences, but his strong religious beliefs caused him to found the 'intelligent design' movement that makes claims in support of a young earth. For more information, please visit: http://christianity.answers.com/theology/the-story-of-creation
According to the law of conservation of mass how many atoms of calcium can react to produce more calcium?
It does nothing. Actually there is gravity because of earth. The earth (or any mass) pulls down (ie attracts ) everything towards itself according to Newton's Universal Gravitational Law which states that the force between two masses is directly propotional to the product of their masses and inversely propotional to the square of the distance between them. This force has an average value of 9.81 N/kg on the earth. This force is commonly called the weight of an object.

According to the Law of Superposition, any sequence of rocks in layers, undisturbed, youngest on top, oldest at bottom
Uniformitarianism (proposed by English geologist Charles Lyell in the 1830s) is the theory that geologic processes that gradually shape Earth are slow and uniform through time. Lyell based his theory on Scottish geologist James Hutton's theory of gradualism, which states that landforms resulted from slow changes over a long time. In other words, uniformitarianism is the belief that natural laws and processes today are essentially the same as they always have been on Earth. "The present is the key to the past."

If a rocket pushes the burning gases towards the Earth, then - according to Newton's Third Law - those same gases push the rocket away from Earth.
According to Newton's Third Law, they both pull equally on one another.
Sure, according to Newton's Third Law, the Moon must also attract the Earth. Actually, saying that the Moon revolves around the Earth is only an approximation. it is more accurate to state that Earth and Moon revolve around the common center of mass.Sure, according to Newton's Third Law, the Moon must also attract the Earth. According to the Bible, "Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. --Matthew 5:17, New American Standard Bible
Pandora (Prometheus' sister-in-law) brought with her Pandora's box, which contained all the evils, pain and illnesses of mankind.
The Law of Uniformitarianism states that all phenomena that happen now will have happened in the past and will happen in the future if the conditions are right for that phenomena occurring for example if water boils at 212 F (100C) under certain atmospheric pressure, the it will always boil at that temperature under the same conditions, and always has boiled at that temperature under the same conditions
According to Newton's Third Law, there is a pair of forces: Earth attracts satellite; satellite attracts Earth. It really doesn't matter which of the two forces you call the "reaction force".
According to legend, an apple fell from a tree and landed on Newton's head. Newton formed the law of gravity which proved that there is a pull that keeps everything planted on the Earth.
