Depends on how old the child is when adopted. If adopting a baby the ones raising the child will have biggest influence but with an older child it depends how old they are. The older = less influence.

Is it possible to reverse terminating parental rights if the adoptive parents do not want to give the kid back?

The question asked here seems to indicate that parental rights have been terminated, and the child has been adopted. Now, the parent who terminated his/her rights wants to 'reverse' that decision because the adoptive parents refuse to give the child back. If that is the question, the answer is going to depend on a number of factors (was the adoption finalized? etc...). But, the short answer is more than likely no. The adoption process in most states is very fine-tuned, and designed to protect the best interests of the child, along with protecting the rights of the adoptive parents. The court does not take kindly to removing a child from his/her adoptive parents. Allowing a parent who has terminated his/her rights to simply come back in when they change their mind, would discourage individuals from adopting, as well as possibly damage a child who is being removed from the only home he/she has known. This is why terminating your parental rights is such a crucial decision that must not be taken lightly. However, adoption laws vary from state to state, and in a case such as this I recommend you seek a family attorney who can evaluate your case, and explain the law in your state.

Is it legal to run away from your adopted gay parents in the state of Maine at 16 to live with your birth mother in Pennsylvania?

No, it is not legal. You would have to either have the gay parents relinquish rights or prove them to be unfit parents. Your birth mother gave up her legal rights when you were adopted. Since you are already 16, you might as well wait a couple years until you are a legal adult. The adoption papers I have seen included language along the lines of making it as though the the adoptive parents were the biological parents all along; which is truly best for giving the child's new relationship the strongest bond. In your case, however, you might try to present a respectful and convincing request with the adoptive parents to allow regular visitation or telephone communication if you believe it is "in your best interest as a child". If they say no, a lawyer would likely consult with you for free, and put your request before a court for around $1500. Gay or not, your adoptive parents stepped up to raise you and are worthy of your respect and honor throughout the process. IF the birth mother is clean, sober, honest and mature, contacting her might do your heart some good and add balance to your life.

How many adopted children look for birth parents?

"Real" parents are the parents who love and care for a child. So, adoptive parents are a child's real parents. If you are talking about returning to birth parents, this rarely happens. There are many processes in place to make sure that the best interests of the child are honored. This means a "forever family" that is formed by adoption. The parent-child bond is formed both emotionally and legally. Some families keep close ties between adoptive families and birth parents, and everyone can live happily with this arrangement if it is what is best for the child.

How to Impress an Adoption Agency?

Adoption agencies are tasked with finding safe homes for children that have been abandoned or in some way abused by their natural parent. This is a weighty responsibility and as such, adoption agencies are likely to go over the lives of prospective adoptive parents with a fine-toothed comb before approving any given adoption application. Three main guidelines aid adoption agencies in their selection process. First, they are looking for demonstrated stability in the lives of prospective adoptive parents. Second, they are looking for the presence of nurture in the characters of prospective parents. Third, they are looking for a track record of social responsibility before approving a couples’ application for adoption.StabilityAbove all else, adoption agencies want to see verifiable proof that a family is stable enough to receive an adoptive child into their home. Children that are up for adoption have experienced a deep disruption in their emotional lives and adoption agencies do not want to repeat this trauma by introducing them to yet another unstable family situation.A steady income, steady employment and a demonstrated ability to keep the bills paid is an essential when it comes to having your application for adoption approved.NurtureAdoption agencies want to place children in homes where there is a proper balance of structure and nurture in place to receive them. You should have a strong support network in place (i.e. friends, family members, church/neighborhood ties) before submitting an application for adoption. In addition, you should consider taking early child education courses and the like before attempting to adopt. This proactive attempt to ready yourself to properly nurture your adoptive child will likely reflect positively on your in the eyes of adoption agencies, increasing your likelihood of winning full custody of your prospective adoptive child.Positive BackgroundExpect a full background check to be conducted by adoption agencies after you submit an application for adoption. If you have bad credit, a police record or a bad reputation with the IRS, you will likely hear about it from the adoption agency and it may hinder you from winning custody. Check your own history before submitting an adoption application to adoption agencies, so that you can correct any errant information on your record.

You want to get adopted how do you if someone who can adopted you?

1st of all , Think about this completly. 2nd, think for a few more days. About why you want to be re-adopted, Why you don't want to have the parents who already adopted you, What your going to do if the person you want to adopt you, isn't planning on adopting, ETC; 3rd, Discuss this with the person who found you your second parents if possible. if you can't talk about this to your new parents (they will most likely be very upset about the thought of loseing you, so break it to them gently.) 4th, I hope everything goes well for you! whatever you do, make sure your parents to be really are going to adopt you, before you lose your adoptive parents. 5th, with whatever you desighd BE CAREFUL!! Alee.
