After wearing braces a long time ago is it possible for your teeth to start misaligning and if misalignment is not severe is there any way to revert it without braces or surgery?
Yes. The way you chew, wisdom teeth growing in (or being taken out), etc. can cause them to slowly move. You could get a retainer to wear at night to slow the movement.

I was looking for some cheap and invisible way to close my teeth gap. I found out that Teeth effect bands are the quickest and cheapest way to close teeth gap and they are clear bands. I am 35 and I had big gap between my front teeth. I used teeth effect bands from www.oralband.com for $19.99 and it… closed my teeth gap in my front teeth in less than 1 month. You can either use: 1- Bonding (white fillings) which take only one appointement 2- Porcelain veneers which take two appointements. 3- Invisible orthodontistry (Invisalign) which takes at least a year for a full mouth straightening of your teeth. Yes, teeth effect bands from teethgap.com can be used to close your gap without going to the dentist. That "teeth effects" stuff sounds like a gimmick. I doubt if it will be able to close teeth gaps. I went to their website and it doesn't look like it can be trusted. They don't even have a phone number. Actually, the teeth gap is not a gimmick and it does work. I had a kind-of small gap and I used the bands. After three weeks, the gap was almost completely gone. I HIGHLY recommend this. I've used the teeth makeover bands, and they worked for me *shrugs* Worth a try. They're cheaper than teeth effect bands and their site is more professional. Invisalign takes about 4 months and it is Cheap around $20 (MORE)
How long do you have to wear braces to fix a gap in your teeth and is there anything else that will fix them?
How long depends on lots of things, but 2 years is average. Althought if a gap is the only thing that needs "fixed", it will probably be much shorter. You could also possibly have the gap fixed with tooth colored filling at a regular dentist. You should have a consult with both an orthodontist and a… regular dentist to find out cost and their opinions before you make your decision. Yes, thankfully there is an alternative. Teeth Gap "www.teethgap.com" sells a product called Teeth Effect bands for $16.95. This is a great solution to a common problem. Worked for me. You can't really fix this kind of problem because whats usually causing the gap is frenem on your gums. So to get rid of your gap entirely you need to get a quick surgery on getting that web clipped off. And then getting braces or somthing like that to do the rest. (MORE)
Ask your dentist for a referral to an orthodontist. Some orthodontists will consult patients without a referral so you could try it that way. There is usually a small consulation fee and your orthodontist will explain the best treatment option, and the price. Then it is up to you whether you want to… proceed or not. Some insurance companies cover a part of the cost, and the amount you pay is divided over the amount of time you wear your braces (usually 20-24 months). (MORE)
It depends on your teeth. Some people wear braces for several months; others wear them for several years. It depends on the particular condition or conditions that are being treated.
If the surface of your teeth was scratched during the removal of braces is there any way to repair this?
You can have your teeth polished with "Sof-lex" discs. Ask your general dentist if he can do this for you. Veneers are a very radical option, I woudn't recomend them for this. Dr Nicholas Manning BDS Glasg MFDS (RCSEng)
Answer . To my knowledge, no. Invisalign can only fix the placement of teeth, but all bite problems must be fixed through the use of traditional braces, headgear, and bands.
Answer . REALLY CERAMIC BRACES ARE LIKE REGULAR (STAINLESS STEEL) BRACES, THE ONLY THING THAT CHANGES (OBVIOUSLY) IS THE COLOR AND THE SIZE. THEY SHOULD LAST THE SAME ON YOUR TEETH AS THE REGULAR ONES AND IF YOU TAKE REALLY GOOD CARE OF THEM, YOU WON'T HAVE A PROBLEM... = )
Answer . IT depends on your doctor so you should go and ask a doctor that lives near you.
It depends on the teeth. If it is very crooked then it would be long.
usually the rubber bands are to correct overbites and therefore if the intensity of the bite is medium, it is kept in for just six to twelve months. Also if you wear two on each hook, it speeds up the pace I've been wearing my rubber bands for a month now...and they dont bother me that mu…ch. You'll probably have 2 wear them 1, 2, or 3 months....depends on your situation (MORE)
Depends on how bad they are. You would probally have to have lost all your baby teeth first though. i would say 12-16 year olds.
You just got your braces 2 months ago and your teeth are already starting to get straight how come you still have to wear them for two more years?
I've had my braces for 3 weeks and theyre straight. I think they need to be held in place so they stay? Maybe if you take them of right away they will stick right out again
It depends how crooked your teeth are. If they are crooked it can take like 2 - 4 years. If they are not crooked a lot it will only take about 1 month, 4 months, 5 months, or about 1 year.
There are very few cases where the Orthodontist would only put braces on the bottom teeth and not both. Most of the time they require the patient to wear them on the top and the bottom because it is better for alignment versus only moving the teeth on the bottom. However, if you have the right align…ment without braces on the top, then the Orthodontist will only recommend braces for the bottom teeth. (MORE)
Getting braces on your teeth will take around an hour. Depending on how much adjustment and improvement is needed on your teeth will change the amount of time you need braces. On average it takes around a year.
That actually depends on how badly your teeth are un-straight. The mor un-straight the longer, and vice versa. ---------- This person is right. Because if you had a spacer in your mouth before you got your braces it could be a while to take off your braces. For me I only have to wear them for …2 years. Almost 1 year now. (MORE)
sometimes if there are too many teeth in your mouth having 1 or more teeth taken out helps. Im not a dentist but i know that can help. that's what i had but my teeth were so bad the braces were the only solution. to be honest braces really arent that bad. at worst they make your teeth ache wh…en tightened (but taking paracetamol helps) and they can rub on your gums (i was given wax to put over the metal which was rubbing that helped and putting bongela on the sore areas numbed the pain). But they are totally worth it just my opinion :) Rub Your Teeth And Gums Every Morning And Night After Brushing Teeth I Did That & After A Year My Teeth Are Straight!! (MORE)
You have had braces orthodontics twice in the past and am now going to have them a third time in preparation for jaw surgery is there any risk that your teeth will fall out from having braces three t?
no they would'nt give braces three times if they even thought that you teeth might fall out.
No, the anchor bracket goes in the back where the spacers are. The spacers make room for the anchor bracket to slide in with ease.
It depends, 2 or 3 years is an avarage, but the first results may be visible after a few months already.
It all depends on if your teeth need to be straightened as well and how large the overbite is; however, most people tend to be in braces for about 2 1/2 to 3 years.
if the wear is on a corresponding tire slack in the bearing may be allowing negative camber to wear the insde edges of the tire. . if the wear is on the actual bearing assembly is may be just a bad bearing or wear on a spindle
Braces are things that go on your teeth and it straighten your teeth and make you have a nicer smile
Ok So you Might Need Them On The Top And Bottom Or Just The Top Or Just The Bottom.
They would not look normal or natural, and they would cause more problems than they would solve. You may be self conscious about wearing orthodontic braces, but I can assure you they are not nearly as unattractive as you think they are. Besides that, part of the goal is to give you a beautiful att…ractive smile when it is all done. The several months that you will be wearing the braces may seem like forever right now, but the time is very short compared to the lifetime of a beautiful smile you will enjoy. A lot of people would gladly put up with wearing braces to ultimately have an attractive smile, but it is not an option for them. Many times they simply do not have the money to pay for them. You on the other hand, have the opportunity to improve your smile for the rest of your life. Rather than feeling you HAVE TO wear braces, remember all those other people who DON'T GET TO wear braces. Count your blessings and look forward to the day when all this pays off. (MORE)
either about 4-6mounths but always wear them when you go to be from annoymouse user
Well, it all depends on the on the curve of your back. If it is only a small degree then you do not have to wear one but it you back curve is up around 25 degrees then you should talk to your doctor about it. though your doctor will most likely tell you if you need to wear a back brace.
When you have braces and you cant bite down because your back teeth braces get in the way is that normal?
Yes, its perfectly normal for the molar brackets to get in the way of your bite. Usually this will last from 1 week to 3 weeks until the teeth move and you can finally bite down. Just cut up your food and chew carefully. If you bite down to hard on the brackets they will break off and that will affe…ct your progress. You should only see the ortho when you get loose or broken brackets. Other than that wait it out till your next visit. (MORE)
You really shouldn't go one day without brushing your teeth. The accumulation of plaque and the foods you eat will start the process of a cavity, this starts with decalcification first, which is a brighter whiter color on your tooth. The enamel where it is decalcified will have a softer surface and …appear chalky. Often when braces come off of teeth that weren't taken care of properly you can see a ring of white (decalcification) around the area where the brackets were. So if you don't want any permanent damadge to you teeth you should brush them every day! (MORE)
Generally not. Overbites can only be corrected with orthodontics/braces. However there are braces that can be worn that are less noticeable called Invisalign. They are clear and do not look at all like braces. Also, many Dentists/Orthodontists will work out payment schedules for you since they can b…e costly. (MORE)
There is no way to get your teeth straight without putting anything on them, but you can use Invisalign, which are clear braces/retainer type thing that is somewhat visible.
While the usual time for wearing them is one to two weeks, it really depends your orthodontist's diagnosis, and what he or she believes is the right amount of time to get the desired result. The actual name for spacers is "orthodontic separators," and while they can sometimes be painful or annoying,… they are known for getting excellent results. (MORE)
After scoliosis surgery, it depends where they fused/placed the rods/screws...I had scoliosis surgery and I can crack the TOP half of my spine, but, the screws are at the bottom of my back and I am unable to crack it there. :)
Yes you can, you would have to arrange a visit with your orthodontist prior to seeing the dentist to remove the archwire, then after having the extractions done, you will need to go back to your orthodontist to get the archwire placed back in. Ring the orthodontist and talk to the receptionist about… when your dentist appointment is and I'm sure they will make avail time for you. It doesn't take very long to replace an archwire. Hope this helps (MORE)
invisilign braces can be used which are like a clear set of gumshields, hardly visible in the mouth, however need to be worn fulltime but nobody would notice them. alternatively lingual braces could be used which are brackets made individually for yourselfs and stuck to the inside of the teeth so no…t visible to anyone. It will probably take 2 years if it's in the correct position, and it's aligned pretty much perfect! But you're not done yet aster you had just taken of your braces you will have to wear a positioner or a retainer. A positioner will help you keep your new aligned teeth into place. So you won't have …to suffer crooked teeth again! A retainer is very common. You will get a retainer after you get your braces. (OR) you can where it after the positioner, but you don't have to unless needed! The retainer will securely holds the teeth into it's new place. You have to wear during the night. the orthodontist will tell you when to put on you appliance and when to take off. finally at the end after you have worn your braces, postioner, or retainer it will probably take 3 years to have a perfect beautiful smile! CHEESE! (MORE)
well, it should only take two years. but, it does depend on if you get a retainer. if you do get a retainer that will be two more years. but just the braces are two year
Braces are a band of metal that raps around your teeth and eventually make them straighter. You go once every month, they tighten them and you pick a new color. Don't worry braces don't hurt that bad, but you need to be careful with them and make sure you brush your teeth after every meal or snack b…ecause you could get yellow teeth when they take them off, puffy gums and food stuck in your braces! So when you get braces you just need to make sure you are careful to brush all the time. (MORE)
Dentists will usually tell you you'll need to get your wisdom teethout before that happens.
It depends and it is unknown for everyone because everybody's teeth are different. Some are sensitive and some aren't. It usually hurts a couple hours later after you get your braces. It also usually can hurt up to as long as two weeks. I said CAN, though. For others, it hurts for a couple hours, a …day, or two, or maybe even three etc.. (MORE)
Special floss threaders are available to make flossing easier. Also if you have the glue on braces (unlike the wrap around, you just glue the brace on) the wire connecting the braces are in the way of flossing. So you have to use your floss and thread it into the wire and floss. (it's hard to floss …the back ones) :( (MORE)
you probably have the special brushes and you should brush every time after eating - but i know thats hard so at least 3 times a day.
You have to wear braces for two years normally. If you don't need them for that long it is for only one year. Hope I could be of help!
if you are under 11 you cant because your teeth arent strong enough. And yes it is sometimes possible to get braces without a complete set of teeth because sometimes they have to pull out some teeth for the braces to get put in. hope that helped:)
It gradually moves the bones so that the feet are aligned correctly then the bones in the leg/feet set in the correct place.
you don't, it can harm the filament in the left side of the upper braces
He first got his braces on December 20th 2011. So he wore them for about a year. And on Twitter, a few months ago he said that he his getting his braces off in 6 months in the new year ! So he is most likely to be getting his braces off this month.
It is different for a lot of people. Chances are, your local orthodontics will give you a checkup for free. He/She will then tell you roughly how long you will need them on. If you want a rough estimate, the average is like two years.
I'm not really sure if you can without braces because I haven'thard of anything apart from braces that can keep your teethstraight. It also depends on your teeth alignment because I had toomany teeth that didn't fit in my jaw so I had to get removablebraces. If you have an overbite or underbite you …probably needbraces (MORE)
It depends on how far your teeth have been pushed out.. If they areonly minorly out of place, maybe a couple of weeks, but in somecases they can take a couple of months. The best way to find thisout is ask your dentist.
