Auditory imagery is a learning style in which a person learns through listening.
Auditory information is processed through the ears and transmitted to the brain for interpretation.
Instruction (Communication) can be visual, auditory or kinesthetic. Visual is showing them, Auditory is telling them, and kenesthetic (or tactile) is guiding them physically.

If you had an auditory canal (a hole in the side of your head that you hear through), then yes. The ear only amplifies sound into the auditory canal's passageway. But with no auditory canal, then no, stupid, you couldn't.
Auditory or vestibulocochlear nerve goes to your ear. It exits the skull through internal acoustic meatus along with the facial nerve.

It means that the learner learns more easily through auditory means. For example, an auditory learner would benefit from hearing a book read to them rather than reading it him/herself. There are many books, including textbooks, that are available in auditory form. Auditory learners may also benefit from the lecture style of teaching.
