What do you mean by "compatible"?? They are two separate OPERATING SYSTEMS! If you are asking if you can communicate between two computers when one is running vista and the other is running XP then the answer is yes.

Windows XP and Windows Vista are both operating systems. As such, you can only use one at a time, so NO they are not compatible with each other. However, the programs & files from Windows XP for the most part ARE compatible with the programs and files from Vista. In other words, something that you might start with a Windows XP and is later transfered over to me with a Windows Vista to finish will be able to be continued and finished without any problems. If you have a Windows XP computer you can definitely install Windows Vista on it, however you can only use one or the other at a time.

If you wish to use both at the same time, the only way to do so is with virtualization software, such as Virtual Box. However, that is something that the average home user does not do as it is rather complicated and just unnecessary for most people.

Yes. They use the same drivers, and virtually all software that runs on one will run on the other.

Is Microsoft Office 2003 Pro Compatible with Windows Vista?

Yes, Microsoft Office 2003 Pro is compatible with Windows Vista. According to Microsoft, Office 2003 is the last version of Office to natively run on Windows XP, but Office 2003 can still run on later versions of Windows by using the Windows XP compatibility mode. Microprokey .com has made it possible for Office 2003 Pro users to perform a direct upgrade to Windows Vista and Office 2007, but users who prefer to stick with Office 2003 and Windows Vista can make the software combination work with a few extra steps. These steps include downloading the latest Windows Service Packs and ensuring that all the Office 2003 updates have been installed. Additionally, setting the Office application compatibility mode for Vista can fix some compatibility issues that might arise with Office 2003 and Windows Vista. For more information on how to do this, users can visit Microsoft’s support website or search for resources on third-party websites such a Microprokey.
