Depending on the wave it would have noticeable differences from a short board in terms of "speed". Physics kind of through this one out. More mass plus weight and a larger center of gravity is going to gain more speed at a slower rate, but it's terminal velocity could potentially be higher. "faster" like top speed it's rough to say because there isn't a big enough wave to get up to top speed on a long board. But to answer this in a plain and simple answer. A short board will launch you faster out of a wave then a long board will. Because the short board you hit before the wave starts to break and the short board gets launched and propelled by the way making it go faster then a bigger surf board. So I can't say a long board is faster but I can say a short board will be launched faster and has faster acceleration. Long boarding is laid back for a reason the board goes just slow enough for you to react where as a short board you react on some what instinct. Until you get good enough and have a quick reaction time.

I had the same issue. In the instrument cluster there are 3 boards. The smallest board with the odometer and transmission status displays also has the 4 lights for the back lighting. This board is plugged into the main board and can easily be changed. Theses lights short out and cannot be changed out individually, the only thing you can do is replace this board.
