There's never been a US $1 million bill. You may be thinking of the $100,000 bills that were printed in the 1930s and only used by the Federal Reserve System. They were never put into circulation.

Is there such a thing as a million-dollar bill?

No, million dollar bills have never been produced by the US government. The largest bill ever made by the US government was a 100,000 dollar gold note which was used between 1934 and 1935. The 100,000 Dollar Gold note was never circulated and was only used to transfer large sums between various government departments.

Can you get a 1000.00 dollar bill?

No, large denominations of US bills such as the 1000.00 dollar bill are used for government transactions only and cannot be obtained by the public.

Is there such thing as a one million dollar bill in the US?

The US never printed a $1,000,000 bill. The highest denomination every issued was $100,000 and that was only used for internal government transactions during the 1930s. There are many fake "million dollar bills" printed by private companies and sold as novelty items. They're only worth the paper they're printed on.

Is there a 1928 US 1 million dollar legal note?

No. All so-called "million dollar" or "billion dollar" bills are novelty items that sell for a few bucks in gift shops. The highest-denomination bills printed for circulation were worth $10,000. The highest-value bills ever printed were special $100,000 gold certificates used only within the Federal Reserve System.

Can a million dollars fit in a coffee can?

Two thousand $500 dollar bills?... Depends on the size of the can Of course. If you have a large coffee can and your million is not in bills but in the form of bonds or Certificates of Deposit, for example. You can definitely have a million dollars or even more in a coffee can. You can probably even have a million dollars if you have a VERY large can and EACH bill is worth $1,000.00, in which case you would only need 1,000 bills to make $1,000,000.00

How many five-dollar bills can you get for one fifty-dollar bill?

How many US 100000 dollar bills were printed?

Sources differ but the most commonly quoted number is 42,000, of which only about two dozen were retained. The bills were never put into general circulation and were only used for transactions between government departments.

Is there a 1000000000000 dollar bill?

Nope. The highest bill ever printed was a $100,000 bill, but that was only for government purposes. Now they only print $100 bills. yeah, it sucks doesn't it?

Are 2009 2 dollar bills rare?

Uncommon, yes. Rare, no. About 134.4 million Series 2009 bills have been printed so far which by itself is a large number, but that's still only about 1% of all denominations.

Who is the secretary of state that signed the fewest dollar bills?

It is a tie between all of them. The Secretary of State does not sign money. That is done by the Secretary of the Treasury. All dollar bills are also signed by the Treasurer. And no, they aren't the same person. But, if your question is which Secretary of the Treasury signed the fewest bills I'd probably go with the shortest tenured sectreas and that would be Joseph Barr. He was only sectreas for a year and his signature is only on 1.00 dollar bills. 458 million of them. Perhaps Hamilton or another person signed fewer.

What is the value of a 1 million dollar bill?

They don't have a one million dollar bill, but if they did it would be worth one million dollars.MoreThe US, Canada, New Zealand and Australia aren't the only countries that call their currencies "dollars". Zimbabwe also calls its currency "dollars" and does have a $1M bill because of hyperinflation. The difference is that a Zimbabwe dollar is only worth a tiny fraction of a dollar from the other countries so a million Z-dollars will exchange for only a couple of bucks in the other currencies. The others have never issued $1 million bills. The largest denomination currently issued in all 4 is $100.Some novelty companies make and sell joke bills that claim to be worth $1M but they're just that - jokes.no

Is there a watermark on the US 1 dollar bill?

Watermarks are only present on newer bills worth $5 or more. Because the government doesn't want to redesign $1 and $2 bills, they don't have any of the newer security features found on larger bills.
