Best Answer

What happens is that they ingest pork, like any other person. Nothing else.

If you have health problems and your doctor advises you to stay away from certain foods, then that is a good reason to not eat a particular food.

If an ancient book says that you should not eat a particular food because it is unholy, then that is a poor reason to choose not to eat a particular food.

Answer OneNo. Pork is haram. (forbidden). Muslims can't consume it at all.

Answer TwoBismillahi-rahmani-rahim(In the Name of God The Most Gracious The Most Merciful)

Not at all.God has clearly prohibited the swine, for example in the Qur'an; 5:3.

There are many reasons why this is.Pigs are extremely unygeinic animals, they roll aroung their own feces and eat dirty things like rats.

Pigs CANNOT live in a place that is clean or that has a pleasant smell.

God knows best.

Answer ThreeSo, the question is "Can Muslims eat WHERE pork is PRESENT?" It is asking "is it permitted for Muslims to eat in a place where non halal food such as 'pork', 'alcohol' etc is served or offered?" It doesn't ask whether pork itself is halal or haram as the answers above suppose.

In this environment, there should be no reason why a Muslim person cannot eat any of the halal options available (e.g. you could go for a vegetarian or fish option). As long as there is no coercion or obligation to eat anything non halal, it shouldn't be an issue. Such places may include parties, social functions or restaurants. Just because pork may be on the menu it doesn't mean you have to eat it or that you should not eat at that restaurant. It may be a good idea to ensure that the food is not contaminated by non halal agents(e.g. additives, the oil it was cooked in, storage conditions etc). The botton line is that you should eat what you can and avoid what you cannot. The same advice could apply for a vegetarian or someone with a food allergy in relation to their personal dietary requirements.

It is strictly forbidden in Quran, the Muslim holy book, for any Muslim to eat pork. Not allowed to eat pork in Islam. If some eat pork, then it there own choice not to follow Islam teachings. Who eats pork is sinful unless he is obliged to eat pork (e.g he is going to die and no food else is available for him to eat.)
