All foods contain calories, and too many calories make you fat, but like all fruits papaya has a low calorie value compared to other foods. It also contains a good deal of fibre which helps to fill you up.

Everything is fattening if you eat to much of it, but no. Pineapples are actually very acidic. If you eat a pineapple, I would worry more about bad breath than the width of my stomach afterward.

A small papaya contains only 0.41 g of fat, or about 1 percent of the 65 g FDA daily value. The body needs the daily requirement of fat for brain and cardiovascular health, but the standard American diet includes more fat than the body needs. Eating foods such as papaya will not contribute to fat gains that can tip the scales and thwart weight-loss progress.

even my dietitian allowed me to eat papaya and i eat it daily 5 to 6 small pieces lol... before my weight was 330.pounds (150kg) and now i'm 83kg... became lean with the help of fruits and green vegetable...
