In a sense, yes, because the "gods" are simply a personification of nature, and it's functions. For example, you most commonly associate Poseidon with the ocean, or any sort of water, so in a sense, Poseidon is water, so he is real. The Greek gods were created to explain thigns in nature, so yes, they are real.

As real as any other god. And like most other deities they were mostly used for stories about morality and such. (The Bible is the same way)
