unless you really know what you are doing i wouldn't suggest it because you can get pinging noises, spark knocks, and if not careful you could end up with a hole burned in a piston or a burnt valve. it shouldn't cost much to get a shop to time it for you , cause it is a fairly simple job unless you have other parts worn out.(like a timing chain, bent push rod, wiped out cam lobe)
it does not mean that. it means that the timing is off so it has to be timed by a timing gun pointed at the distributer and adjusted
I believe my burban is supposed to be timed @ 0°. I time it to 8°
cheep = have it tuned and timed expensive = rebuild it with a hp cam and port and polish the heads.
I timed it and i was going about 120mph but that is with the speed gov. My dad was clocked doing 144 in his.
Men: A hand timed 10.2 seconds by several runners including Jesse Owens and Harold Davis. Women: A hand timed 11.5 seconds by Lulu Mae Hymes, Rowena Harrison, and Fanny Blankers-Koen.
Is the vacume for the distributor TIMED vaume or full vaume at idle???
It does not help for any person to cut his hand behind his ear.
Rub your hand in its ear.
you wear head phones and when you hear a beep in eathier ear you raise your hand. So if i heard a beep in my left ear i would raise my left hand.
True.
True.
catches more sound. your ears are already on an angle, so cupping your hand enhances that angles/amount of sound captured
