From what i know the app store is a lot better than the kindle fire. The nexus 7 has around 800,00 apps compared to Amazon's 600,00 apps. Amazon has popular apps but not much important apps. Other than than that i don't really know anything else the nexus 7 can best the kindle fire at. The graphics and sound on the kindle fire HD is just AMAZING. So yea......hopes this helps!
If you use a micro-usb cable and connect it to your computer, you can transfer files to and from your Kindle just like it was an external hard drive. Place any .mobi files in the Books folder, and place .pdf and other formats in the Documents folder. Once you've added your files, you may need to restart the Kindle to get it to recognize your new books.

The hd doesn't even have a good speak to app that works. I've been searching and searching for one but nothing so far. everything else is amazing though. graphics are perfect, way better than any"good" price for an iPod. The kindle hd is just as fast as anything on the market for half the cost. well worth money.
