Yes. It's genetical but it is a lot more common in males than females. About 3 or 4 times more common in males than females so id say you will be so lucky if you can find a female with Asperger's. About it though males with Asperger's are 3 or 4 times more common than the other gender the average amount of people with Asperger's in the whole world of all genders is 1 or 2 % of the population

What is aspi?

I don't have all of the symptoms of Aspergers. I have a nephew with Autism. Is it possible not to have all the symptoms of Aspergers and still have the condition?

Each person who has aspergers has a different personality, and aspergers manifests itself differently in different persons. So, probably, no one who has aspergers has all the symptoms, because the combination is different in each individual.

Does Daniel Radcliffe have aspergers?

No, but he does have Dyspraxia, a condition which is often found alongside Asperger's or other Autism Spectrum disorders, which is why he may appear somewhat similar in some ways to a person with Asperger Syndrome.

How long does the marriage of a person with aspergers last?

Aspergers syndrome is a disorder having to do with a person's ability to interact socially. Because it is a social disorder, the general health of a person with this syndrome would not be affected. The life expectancy is the same as that of any other person. The movie "Rain Man" is about a man with Aspergers (or somewhere on the Autism Spectrum). It may give you a better idea of what it is.

How do you cure Asperger's Syndrome?

You cannot cure Asperger's Syndrome. It is a neurological condition that affects how the brain works, so rather than curing it, people with Asperger's Syndrome can learn or be taught some methods to deal with some of its effects. They can also be given medications that can treat some of the symptoms, but not the cause. There is no cure for Aspergers Syndrome. There are a number of ways that a person with Aspergers can be helped to live a good quality, independent life which is sometimes made difficult by the condition.

Is asperger's syndrome serious?

Probably, but it has only recently been named as such and clearly defined. Improved: Noone really knows when Aspergers' Syndrome was FIRST thought out, but the first researcher to define it, has since then made the case. You never know, back when the cavemans were around, Aspergers' syndrome could've had some effect.

What is the life span of a person who has high-functioning autism?

Autism and Asperger's Syndrome do not affect the life span of an individual.

What is mild autism?

There's no such thing as mild autism, there is just autism.A person is born Autistic, how their autism effects them can vary greatly and change throughout their lives. This is why autism is know an a spectrum disorder. Also some people claim Asperger Syndrome is a 'mild form of autism' but this isn't the case, it's just an old diagnosis for Autistic people who didn't display developmental delays - or often it was used to diagnose people to avoid stigma of Autism.

Is Asperger's Syndrome a disease?

A:No. Don't believe in "charities" or "experts" who claim to be able to "cure" Asperger's.No disease = No cureA:No, Asperger's Syndrome is not a disease. It is a neurological condition, meaning there are some differences in the brain. A person is born with genes for autism and Asperger's Syndrome, but these genes are not always triggered.

Is autism mild?

No, Autism is not mild or severe - Autism just is.Autism is a neurological difference and considered to be a spectrum condition as it effects people in different ways and to different severity which can change throughout a persons life or from situation to situation. Autism cannot be mild, but a person may experience mild symptoms with their autism.

How do you make friends when you have Aspergers Syndrome?

While it can be more challenging to make friends when you have Aspergers Syndrome, I believe there is still good reason to have hope. Society as a whole is becoming increasingly aware of Aspergers and Autism and more accepting of people who are on the Autism Spectrum. Take for example, the TV show, The Big Bang Theory. While it is never actually stated, I highly suspect that Sheldon's character is based on an individual who has Aspergers, and he is certainly an endearing fellow who has a close-knit group of friends whom he can count on. There are plenty of examples in real life as well of people who have Aspergers Syndrome who are living full, productive lives, have jobs, friends and many other accomplishments to their credit. Don't put too much pressure on yourself , striving for the hundreds or even thousands of so-called "friends" that a lot of young people have on their social media pages. Many would question how real any of these friendships really are. Start with one person and go from there. When approaching a person in your efforts to begin a friendship, I have read about many success stories that involve individuals with Autism taking a very forthright approach, telling people from the start about their condition. Explain to people whom you are interested in getting to know better that you have Aspergers and tell them what it's all about. Explain that it is sometimes difficult for you to read body language. Ask them if they'd mind giving you tips and advice from time to time in conversation to help you work on these skills. If sometime is not receptive to this, chances are that you don't really want him or her as a friend anyways! As the parent of an individual who has Autism, I know that I cannot truly understand and appreciate the challenges that you face as a person with Aspergers, but hope that of my suggestions can be of some help to you.

How does a person with Asperger's Syndrome become popular?

A person with Aspergers can become popular by just being themselves. If they're nice, people will come to them for who they are, not what they have.
