What state (or country, if you're not in the US) are you referring to? In California, for example, the answer is either "no" or "what are you talking about" since there's no such thing as "dependents" on the unemployment claim form.

Can you claim wife as a dependent?

You may never claim your spouse as a dependent. You may, however, claim a standard exemption for your spouse if she does not have to file and you are not filing jointly (and as long as no one else is claiming her as a dependent).

Can you claim spouse on unemployment if she is collecting ss?

In my experience, the answer is "what the heck are you talking about?" Unemployment doesn't, to the best of my knowledge, allow you to "claim" a spouse. It's based on your income for some past period, and whether or not you have a spouse doesn't enter into it.

Can you claim a runaway as a tax dependent?

Can you claim your spouse as a dependent on your tax return?

No. If you're Married Filing Jointly, then you're allowed one personal exemption for you and one exemption for your husband. You can't claim your spouse as a dependent. Even if you're working and your spouse isn't, you can't claim your spouse as a dependent because you're allowed to claim two personal exemptions total for the two of you as a married couple filing jointly.

Can you claim your wife as a dependent on your taxes if you file separately?

No. If you are Married Filing Separately, then you only can claim your personal exemption. Your wife's personal exemption only can be claimed by her if you're Married Filing Separately. Your spouse, whether filing jointly or separately, can't be considered your dependent.

Can you file your son as a dependent if your mother filed you as a dependent?

You cannot claim any dependents if you can legitimately be claimed as a dependent by someone else. So if your mother legitimately claimed you, you cannot claim your son. But you should check the rules for claiming a dependent to see if your mother could also have claimed your son.

Can you claim your child's medical expense if it is his fathers year to claim him?

Can you claim unemployment benefit after you marry if your spouse is employed?

Whether or not your spouse is employed (or, indeed, whether or not you have a spouse) has no bearing on unemployment benefits in any location I'm familiar with. If you lost your job in a way that would allow you to collect unemployment, then you can collect unemployment. If you didn't, then you can't. It's pretty much that simple.

Do you have to claim earnings such as a vacation check on your unemployment voucher immediately?

Yes, all earnings have to be claimed regardless of where they came from or when, have to be immediately claimed on every unemployment voucher. Not doing so is *fraud* with criminal implications.

Can your husband claim you as a dependent on your tax return?

A spouse is never considered a dependent. However, you can claim an exemption for your husband as long as you file a joint return. You also are allowed an exemption deduction for yourself.
