Yes you can but it will need to be rebalanced because of the 307s lighter pistons and rods.

Chevy 307 bored out to 350?

Well a 307 has a bore of 3.875 and a stroke of 3.25, so to build a 350 out of a 307 you would need to bore out the 307 .125 inch to a 4 inch bore, which in most cases can not be done, and you would have to put a 350 crank which has a stroke of 3.48 inches and use 350 pistons. But if you want more cubes and power out of your 307 you can bore it .03 over, have it decked .025 inches, and use a 350 crank with 400 rods and 307 pistons to make a ground pounding 333 stroker.

Your 1985 Olds Tornado has a 307 engine can you upgrade to a 350?

Yes you can upgrade to a 350 but only if it is an Oldsmobile 350 and you will need to use small block olds toronado intake from a 307 so you will have hood clearance-you may need to enlarge ports in intake to match 350 head ports but probably not much. You can use your 307 heads on the 350 but I would put bigger valves in those heads before I used them with a 350 and porting would not hurt if you want much performance. The Olds 350 will have a lot more power stock than the 307

Can you put 350 heads and cam on a 307 Oldsmobile engine?

You can put Oldsmobile 350 heads on an Oldsmobile 307, if the 307 is 1984 or older. It will take some work but it can be done, I know for a fact that it can, because my 307 has 350 heads on it. It runs great. I'm not sure about the cam though.

Can you put 350 rocket heads on a 307 Oldsmobile engine?

Yes you can

Can you install a 350 in a Olds Toronado?

Yes in the '79 to '85 toronado's. You will need an olds 350 engine such as the ones put in the '79 toronado's.

What is my 87 Chevrolet caprice motor type?

If it is a 6 cyl, it should be a 4.3L (262 ci) If it is an 8 cyl, it is probably a Chevy 305. It could also be a Chevy 350 or an Olds 307. If you fill the oil in the valve cover it is a Chevy engine. If you put oil in a tube on the front of the motor, it is an Oldsmobile. Check your VIN# for engine ID. I believe it is either the 8th or 9th digit. As I recall, Z is 4.3L V6, Y is Olds 307HO, 9 is Olds 307, H is Chevy 305HO, and 6 is Chevy 350

What is the stroke if you put a 327 crankshaft in a 350 Chevrolet?

Putting a 327 crank in a 350 makes it a 327. (3.25") You can't put a 327 crank into a 350 without changing the pistons. The piston would be 1/4" down in the hole, and would have very little compression.

Can you install a 350 engine in a 1985 Oldsmobile Toronado?

An olds 350 engine such as one that they put in the 1979 toronados. Don't think you could put a Chevy 350 in without major mods.

350 rocket olds engine vs 350 Chevy engine which is better?

The 350 Rocket from the olds is Far superior. I just put one in my Grand Prix switched from the 350 Chevy and with a 4 barrel holly carb you will notice a BIG difference.

Can a olds 350 be put into an 89 Chevy pickup?

Yes, but you will have to put a compatible computer to run with the 350 olds or the wiring will not be the same.If it is an olds engine with an HEI distributor then this step can be disregarded. Also the motor mounts will have to be customized in order to bolt to your crossmember. You will also have to use the olds transmission, and have the driveshaft cut down and balanced to fit and reduce vibration.
