Freemasonry is not a religion but it certainly does acknowledge the existence of a "supreme being" and this is certainly not the Antichrist, Devil or Satan. In point of fact, the vast majority of Freemasons identify themselves as Christians.

Freemasons have to swear belief in a great architect; the interpretation of that is up to the candidate, so it's probably possible for most atheists to come up with a way of swearing that is true - after all, Frank Lloyd Wright was a great architect.

No, to be a mason it is required to believe in a supreme being. The masons do not admit anyone who is of catholic faith.

While the Masons may think they control the thoughts and beliefs of their members, anyone who cares enough to join can probably lie on his application form.
