I recall a priest being interviewed who said that when he discussed faith with parishioners there was an unsaid feeling that the parishioner didn't want to admit how little he believed in the doctrine and the priest equally didn't want say how little he believed. So I imagine that there are many weddings in church where none of the main protaganists reallybelieve.
