Can i put my male hamster back in the cage with the female after she had babies the babies are no longer here?

Yes, but be aware that they will breed again and the female will become pregnant.

Once the female gives birth, the male should only put back to her if you plan on using them for breeding again.

Seperate the male. You remove the male hamster from the female when she is about to have the babies to prevent it from killing them. When they are weened and big enough to defend themselves the male can be put back, but it would be best not to have too many all together as they may fight.

After your hamster has babies the mother will care for them. The puppies will have no fur and are very small. If a baby strays from the nest the mother will carry it back in her mouth. The mother will feed the hamster from her milk until three weeks. At 5 weeks the puppies arte ready to leave the mother. If the hamster is a syrian this is the age when it must be separtated from its brothers and sisters.

When does a Hamster bite?
A hamster usually won't eat her babies unless if it is ill and/or dying. The mother may also eat her baby if anyone has touched it. If you touch a baby the mother will smell an un-natural scent and the first thing she'll think is 'danger'. A hamster.. in this case.. will either abandon the baby or eat it to keep her other babies safe. If you have a pregnant hamster; DO NOT pick up the babies when they are born (even though its hard to resist). It'd probably be best if you left the mother and her babies alone for a while. When you clean the cage, work around the mom. You don't want to disturb or distress her in any way.

If they start mating, leave them in there for half a hour or until your male loses interest in the female. Then put your hamsters back in its cage. You should be very careful when handling your female if you think she might be pregnant. Hamsters are pregnant for 16 days, then they give birth to 4 - 16 babies. When she has been pregnant for 10 days move your hamster to a cage without wide bars so the babies cannot escape when they are born. Stop handling her and leave her alone, she will build a nest. Give her cheese. Give her more cheese. The babies are very cute but don't touch them until they are 3 weeks old! Or the mummy might eat them! Why cant you put the boy hamster back with the mom when she alredy had the babies?
hamsters will sometimes eat their babies so therefore it would be safer for the young until they have grown more.
