Codes are remote control specific. Use your remote control manual (or your cable company guide) to find the code for your brand tv. If there is no code for your tv alot of times another manufacturer's code will work. You just have to be patient and try all the codes. For example, my COBY TFD1973 TV/DVD combo code is 248 the same as Audiovox. For remote control guides check out universalremote.com Look on your remote control there should be a model number such as UR5U-8720L-AB, find your remote control in the lists using this number.

Also, the answer suggested above about programming the volume for the remote, by just following the Comcast remote instructions for "unlocking" the volume was exactly right. Also, fyi, none of this programming of the Comcast remote messed up TV/DVD operation by the original remote I have for the TV/DVD.
