It is definitely possible, if you accidentally press too hard on a key and your finger gets stuck, or if your friend pranked you and put a thumb tack, push pin, or whatnot on a key, or, in a more unlikely situation, you are sprayed with ink while investigating a typewriter malfunction. Just excercise caution and you'll be fine.
