Actually, no. You can die WHILE you're in a coma -- but you may also recover completely.
A coma is "simply" an unresponsive, unconscious state of indeterminate period. There are a lot of unknowns in this question (how old is the person; what was their health prior to entering the coma; was there a likely cause; etc). A person may or may not "come out" of a coma (i.e., become responsive and conscious again) -- but I believe (and I'm not a doctor, so I defer to medical opinion) that the longer a person is in a coma, the less likely that they will leave that state, or that they will be brain-damaged when they do.
But if you're asking about someone you know or love, please don't ask here. Talk to a medical professional who knows all the details of the case.
Sister Aruna Shanbaug from India has been in coma from 27th November 1973. She has been under care of the nursing staff of KEM hospital Mumbai. This is the notable example of proper nursing care by sisters over the decades.
Anywhere from a few hours to decades, possibly for the rest of your natural life unless someone decides to take you off life support.
my mother-in law has been sugar coma since last saturday they she has no brain function her HR is at 145 and RR is 40-45 they say she has an blood infection what is going to happen
welll am sry but no one knows but only god doctors dont know but they can give an estimation when he/she might wake up
it depends how serious the injury was that the person the longest time for someone to stay in a coma is about 1 to 2 years
It can last until the individual passes away, years or decades.
Until the chloroform wears off;)
Interphase takes the longest to complete
The longest time is interphase. The next largest time for completion is prophase. The shortest amount of time for completion is telophase.
Prophase.
MitosisIntroductionThere are five main phases of Mitosis, plus one that is included to certain cell types. They are listed in order from:InterphaseProphaseMetaphaseAnaphaseTelophaseCytokinesisPrecursor to MitosisBefore mitosis is the phase in the cell cycle called interphase. This takes up 78% of the time in a cell's division cycle, and is the longest phase in the cycle.Interphase consists of the three subphases called G1, Synthesis, and G2.Prophase14% of the time in a cell's cycle is spent in the prophase. This is the second longest phase in the cell cycle, but the longest phase in actual mitosis. In prophase, the DNA supercoils into chromosomes, the nuclear membrane breaks down, and the centrioles move towards the opposite poles of the cell. The spindle microtubules also assemble.Metaphase4% of the time in a cell's cycle is spent in the metaphase. In metaphase, the spindle microtubules then attach to the centromeres of the chromosomes and the chromosomes then line up along the equator of the cell.Anaphase0.8% of the time in a cell's cycle is spent in the anaphase. This is the shortest phase in the cell cycle. In anaphase, the spindle microtubules shorten, the sister chromatids (two individual chromosomes paired and attached at the centromere) split into two identical chromosomes. The chromosomes are then pulled to the opposite poles of the cell proportionately.TelophaseRoughly 3% of the time in a cell's cycle is spent in the telophase. In the telophase, the chromosomes then unwind at their poles, the spindle microtubules break down, and the nuclear membrane reforms.Cytokinesis (Not a separate phase)Cytokinesis occurs at the end of the cycle, but is not actually a phase. This step either occurs during telophase or never occurs at all, in which case the cell fails to divide. In cytokinesis, the cytoplasm divides into two.
the main sequence represents the longest period in a stars life cycle
the longest time spent under water by a human is 17:04.4. by David Blaine. This is the offcial Guiness world record.

The record for the longest time spent on a hammock is 40 hours and 37 minutes, achieved by Deanne Bednar in November 2016. She spent the time in a hammock suspended above the ground without sleep.
The record for the longest time spent on the Billboard Hot 100 is held by "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons, which spent 87 weeks on the chart.
I once spent like 8 hours in the tub

No, death pretty much trumps coma...a person won't be in a coma after they die. You might have some evidence, in the form of bedsores and wasting, that the person had lingered in a coma if the coma persisted for some extended time prior to death. .
The longest time spent reading a book continuously is 113 hours and 15 minutes, achieved by Deepak Sharma Bajagain from Nepal in 2018.
