Sure. But why would you want to? I mean education is very important nowadays and i think before you do anything drastic, you should think about it carefully. It'll be very hard to find a good job without an education. Think before you act...please
Smile.sm - In most states you can, although you may want to check individual state laws. And yes, education is important, but who's to say that government-mandated education is the best option? It is something you should think through carefully, and not do unless it feels right to you; however, a great majority of colleges accept GEDs and if you score decent on the ACT or SAT tests, you should be fine getting a job. Good luck!
Everyone I talk to regret dropping out, coz then theres no going back, and you only have one life.....
yes and no. it is possible but you need to be 18 to legally drop out- that's anywhere from grade 11 to 13 ( voluntary 5th year). however if you choose to simply not attend classes you are being truant which is illegal and will not get you out of going to school. you will just be sent off to attend a special program perhaps in a separate location from your normal high school.----
actually, I think you can drop out when ever you want. You won't get a good job, though. & on top of that, you'll have to go back to school when you get older if you do want a good job. hope i helped! - wikibabe12
From what I was able to see in the state of Florida. I was allowed to drop out the minute I turned 16. All it required was for your parent or legal guardian to be present (for his signature). After that you can go ahead get your GED and get into a community college and eventually on your way to a university.
Check local and state laws, first, captain.
Age 17 or 18, depending on your age when you started first grade.
Typically anywhere between the ages of 17 and 19, depending on where your actual birthdate occurs and when you began Kindergarten.
18
everyone under the age of eighteen from the age of about five. and one may go to college whenever and for as long as they want. college being the school of higher learning. many students only finish high school. in the us the school system goes kindergarten, elementary school, middle school, high school, and college.
You have to attend High School if you are of school age if you are a US citizen. If you are of another nationality you would have to have the relevant visa and parental consent if you are under 18.
Starting at 5 years of age, citizen of the US is required to attend some form of education (home school, private school, public school) until they are 16 years of age.
In the US if you do all years of compulsory education from kindergarten to 12th grade/senior you will have completed 13 years in school by the time you finish high school. In the England you only have to complete 11 years of compulsory education from Reception to year 12.
There is no exact age, but generally if a student has completed all former grades without retentions they should be about 13-14 years old when they get to 9th grade (high school).
(in the US) 19 years of age is certainly past the age of emancipation in any state. Perhaps your parent(s) are being protective of you and simply want you to be able to finish school and graduate. However, there can be other reasons why your parent wishes you to remain at home, for instance: if a custodial parent is receiving child support until you complete high school, if you move out the child support paid to them would stop.
No two US presidents went to the same high school. John Tyler and William Henry Harrison grew up close enough to each other that if there had been high schools at that time and if they had been closer to the same age, they might have gone to the same high school.
The age of students finishing school in German can vary a great deal depending on which path they take in their secondary education system. This system has four types of schools called Gymnasium, Realschule, Hauptschule, and Gesamtschule, and each would equate to what the US educational system calls high school. A student's age on completion of any of the four depends on the specific course of instruction and amount of additional schooling required. For example a beautician can finish school after the 10th year of school or as young as 15 or 16. A master apprenticeship or craftsman might be finished with school at ages 25 to 30 depending on the craft.
Yes. Many students once they finish school, go to university in the US and Europe. Others move to the US to attend to school there.

You need either a diploma or a GED, and a GED may require college credit hours in addition.
Nope. High School/H.S. Equivalent graduation have nothing to do with emancipation of a minor. You have two options: Wait for the 'age of majority' in your state or petition the court for emancipation.
