In reality, you can do it.

It's a question of either you have enough money and mechanical skill to make the upgrade correctly or not.

There are many videos over the web, but honnestly, most of them show a wrong setup.

When turbocharging a engine with a carburetor, you will have to put the turbo shooting the cold air into the carb intake, that will follow directly into the mixture into the engine.

Most people, dunno why (I believe it must be due to misinformation) do it the other way around, but that will just restrict the air the turbo needs to compress if you put the carb in front of the turbo.

Be prepared for a heavy budget, because you'll need a really small turbo and lots of other pieces like a dump valve, a intercooler (running cooled air makes a better combustion, meaning more power) and a fair bit of custom exhaust tubing to bolt into the turbo.

I dunno where you're from, I'll assume you're american and give you a guess price in dollars for this project.

You're probably going to spend around 300$ on a small turbo, around 50-80$ for a dump valve, around 80-100$ for the intercooler w/silicon piping and for the rest of the stuff... maybe 100$ the least if you can find a cheap welder to make you the full exhaust tubing.

So in real figures you'll need at least 560$ for the upgrade + some expert help if you're not confortable messing around with mechanical bits.

Hope this helped.
