It all depends on how bad your attendance was. I think the best thing to do is to go to a community college and do your best. Most nursing schools require 2.5 GPA or higher. So do your best in college. I'm sure it wont be a problem to get into a good nursing school. Its a very very good career choice. My cousin has been an RN for only 3 years. She makes $8,000 a month.

Yes you can. Take the graduate entrance examine score high enough on it, gather some recommendation letters, and write a stellar letter on why you should be excepted. Or you can go back a repeat some classes before entering grad school to bring up your GPA

I guess all things can happen, but if your grades were very poor, than it is unlikely. If you want to try, go ahead. You don't know unless you try. I'll be honest--no. Like the person above said it's worth a shot-you have nothing to loose; but honestly, what's the point of an Ivy League school if kids with bad grades can get in. I guess it would depend on your definition of bad was though. Most kids who get into most of the Ivys will have at least a 4.0 average, but if you had like a 3.5 or something (maybe lower) and a lot of extra curriculars you could have a chance.

i honestly do not know, but...if you try really hard, and do as best as you can, and let everyone see that...then you might have a better chance... ---- yes, you can 1st you go to a community college, get good grades there and then you can transfer into a better school and show them that you've changed and are serious now. My sisters were the worst. They got suspended, expelled, got F's and now they're in college. You've just got to get good grades in a community college and transfer.

It depends on how bad your grades are in high school and also how you did on the SAT or ACT. Most colleges are concerned about students who have not done well in their high school courses. They often suggest you attend a community college first and do a semester or two there to prove you are capable of college level work. If you are successful there, it is not difficult to transfer to any number of good schools. It doesn't hurt to apply to colleges that seem somewhat realistic for you, but make sure you have at least one or two good safety schools. I work with students who have not always done well in high school and many have gone on to be very successful in college.

In the UK, Yes.

The UK colleges have different courses to take, some courses ask for specific grades such as English, Maths and the subject you have selected. Some ask for C grades, some for B and so on.

D - U are grades which are not accepted by most good colleges.

I guess it depends on how bad your GPA is. You could try applying to some schools and see if you could get in. I suggest you talk to your counselor about it.

Will community college change my overall gpa from highschool?

No, the GPA is calculated separately. However, if you're trying to recover from a bad GPA in high school, having a good GPA in community college will be a valuable asset if you plan on applying to a four-year school.

Is a 3.34 GPA and a weighted 4.17 GPA a bad GPA. i took no AP classes or honors classes either. my weighted GPA is based on college prep courses. is that bad?

College prep courses are not weighted, so your gpa, both weighted and unweighted, is a 3.34. The only way to get above a 4.0 is to take either honors or AP classes. If its bad or not depends on what kind of school you want to go to, and remember, colleges don't only look at gpa, they also look at standardized test scores (SAT and ACT) and extracurriculars.

I am a freshmen in college and i have a 2.92 GPA is that bad?

It is not a bad idea to go to college with a 2.203 GPA. In fact, many colleges allow admission with a minimum 2.0 GPA and good SAT or ACT scores. Community college is another great option for two years, which will allow you to transfer to a top university with a good GPA and grades.

Can you still atttend a university regardless of your overall GPA and Class Rank?

Well, it depends on the college and how bad your GPA is. If it is really bad most university level institutions won't accept you. There is always community college.

Is student government president an academic honor?

No, it's not an academic honor. Its definitely a good thing, but not academic. If you have bad grades but were the SG Pres., you wouldn't get into a good college or grad school.

Is 3.0 GPA bad?

It depends on what college you are trying to get into and is that your weighted, unweighted, or academic core GPA??With that GPA you won't be able to get into a Ivy League school but you can still get into plenty of good colleges as long as you have good test scores and extracurricular activities! :)

It may or may not be. It is a C- and may not be good enough to get into a good college.

Is a GPA score of 2.91 good enough for college?

Whether a GPA is good or bad often depends on how competitive your high school is and the GPAs held by other students in your class. Often a GPA of 2.7 is considered average, but you should check with your guidance counselor and ask how your grades compare to others. Often schools will calculate your class rank-- how your GPA compared to everyone else in your graduating class.
